Grillin’ in January? That’s right y’all! Not even the 34′ temps can keep Texans from grillin’! While my husband has a tried and true rib recipe, he’s been dying to try these orange barbecued ribs and it would be crazy to wait until Summer to have something so good, especially when we need chow food for all these football games! Orange Barbecue Ribs Working on a cattle ranch, you’d expect us to be grillin’ beef ribs but sometimes, having pork makes for a nice change, which is why we chose to make Kraft’s Orange Barbecued Ribs.  The recipe calls for pork spareribs or baby back ribs and we just couldn’t resist throwing some baby backs on the grill.   And of course, we pick the coldest day of the week to do this.FullSizeRender-9  When my man wants to grill, he’s gonna grill! Y’all know we love to try new gadgets and handy dandy helpers, so of course, my husband took full advantage of his new Evergriller Grill ‘N’ Flip Mitt.  His hand stayed nice and warm while he was bathing the ribs in barbecue sauce and turning them every 15 minutes.  The tongs fit well in it as did the brush and he said it was pretty darn handy!  What I think is cool about the Evergriller Grill ‘N’ Flip Mitt, is that it can be washed!  I don’t know about your man (or you), but my guy can be kinda messy.  It’s nice to see that the materials are high quality that can withstand grilling and washing.  And if that’s not enough, it’s fire-proof so it can totally withstand the heat of the grill, all while keeping my cowboy’s hand nice and warm. Evergriller Grill n Flip Mitt This recipe is pretty simple y’all.  You literally have 5 ingredients, including the ribs but I gotta admit, I was pleasantly surprised at how much flavor there was.  It’s amazing to see what adding a little orange and red pepper to Kraft Barbecue sauce can do.   I zested and juiced one orange and just mixed together with the crushed red pepper and barbecue sauce.  I, personally, am pretty content with JUST the Kraft Barbecue sauce but I was glad I tried something new.  Sometimes I tend to stay ‘inside my box’, you know, life of an introvert!  You guys should see all the Kraft barbecue recipes.  You’ve got to try this one or any of them.  They all look pretty fantastic! FYI, a typical serving size when you’re dealing with ribs is anywhere from 2-4 pieces. This recipe calls for a 3lb slab but ours was just over that. We decided that three ribs, as seen on plate above, is a suitable serving size for one person. Serve with a mixed green salad or vegetable to balance out all that protein! Enjoy!
